“Memory Cuff” Bracelet Beading Tutorial #14280

This beading pattern will teach you how to easily make this beadwoven memory wire cuff bracelet – this is not a wrap around memory wire bracelet, but a beadwoven memory wire cuff. Being that I’ve always been attracted to stitching projects, I haven’t spent a lot of time working with memory wire. I had the thought of incorporating beadweaving with memory wire, and I love the result! I’m a big fan of cuff bracelets – they are easy to throw on when running out the door. : ) Because this design is so fast to make, and I was having fun with experimenting with color combinations, I made a gazillion of them! With over 35 high resolution full color photos and easy to follow step by step directions, you’ll soon have your own beautiful “Memory Cuff” bracelets! Bead happy!

Tutorial by: Cara Landry

Recommended Materials:

For this project, you can use whatever types and sizes of beads you’d like! I personally made my cuff bracelets with either one round, two rounds or three rounds of beads, using 3mm, 4mm or 6mm glass fire polished beads, as well as round glass pearls. I personally used the same bead for an entire round and then incorporated a new bead for the next round, though feel free to use a mixture of beads in the same round if you’d like!

– FireLine beading thread
– #12 long beading needle
– Bracelet memory wire 2.25” (57mm)
– Round beads – I used 3mm, 4mm or 6mm glass fire polished beads and round glass pearls for my samples
– Flush cutter
– Memory wire cutter or heavy duty wire cutters – Make sure you do not use your regular jewelry cutters because the memory wire can damage them.
– Round nose pliers
– Chain nose (smooth flat) pliers
