This beaded barrette beading pattern will teach you how to make these lovely beaded barrettes for yourself and your loved ones using seed beads and readily available Frech-style barrettes (and there’s no gluing required)!

We made Cara’s grandmum a beaded barrette one Christmas, and she liked it so much that we decided to make her a few more for Mother’s Day. This time, we wanted to come up with a monochromatic design that included variations of the same color so the barrettes would coordinate with whatever variations she wore of her favorite colors.

Because she loves to play Sudoku, we thought it would be fun to work a Sudoku theme into the design. We ended up with a repeating pattern consisting of six beads across by six beads down, in which no single color is repeated in either direction. The barrettes came out so pretty that we decided to make a pattern for the design to share with you!

This is a great beading project for all skill levels, including beginner beaders, that produces lovely barrettes in your favorite colors that will beautifully compliment your entire wardrobe!
