How to Make a Beaded Herringbone Stitch Bracelet Beading Pattern #320
You may find yourself waving more, or at least “leading with the wrist” (as my great-grandmother would say) when you're wearing this enchanting Herringbone Wave bracelet! Made up entirely of seed beads, this unique and original design features three colors of 11/0s, interspersed with 15/0s, that undulate in a gentle wave, or charming ribbon-like, design. The color possibilities are endless with this project. Go with red, white and blue for the 4th of July, cream, teal and blue for a summer beach landscape, rich warm hues for a fabulous fall motif, and bright, festive colors for the perfect holiday accessory! This bracelet is so lovely, you'll want one for every season : ) Measuring approximately 3/4” wide, this gorgeous bracelet has a great drape and is super comfortable to wear.
Please note, this is a more challenging project. But don't worry, this very detailed tutorial, with over 130 high-resolution full-color photos and easy to follow step-by-step directions (a photo per step), will hold your hand throughout the entire project. Nothing is left up to the imagination! We've also included color information for all of the color samples shown. So, grab your favorite color seed beads and get ready to ride the wave. Materials & Quantities Needed
Your purchased beading tutorial will include a detailed materials list of everything you'll need to make this project, including quantities and, in most cases, color information (see more about Bead Color Information below).
Substituting with Different Beads or Beading Materials
Many of our designs can be made using comparable beading materials. For example, if our pattern calls for 4mm round pearls, in most cases, you can use different types of 4mm round beads instead (such as 4mm round fire polished beads). Please note: If the pattern is for a bead weaving (or stitched) project, it's typically not recommended to use different sizes of beads than those recommended, as the original design may not work out as intended. You may also substitute recommended materials with your preferred brand (for example using Nymo vs. FireLine thread) unless otherwise noted for a specific reason. For example, if we specifically recommend using TOHO seed beads with a particular project, the project may not work out as well if you substitute and use Delica seed beads instead (which differ in shape).
Bead Color Information
We provide detailed information about the bead colors used for each of the color samples shown above on the Bead Legend / Color Key (or similarly named page) in your purchased pattern. If the tutorial you purchased does not include detailed color information for a particular color sample we used, we apologize (a few of our earliest patterns did not include this information and we no longer have those beads to reference, or they were discontinued by the manufacturer). If this is the case, please feel free to contact us and we'll do our best to provide you with general color descriptions. Be sure to let us know which particular color sample you're most interested in.
