Poinsettia Flower Beaded Christmas Necklace SuperDuo Beading Tutorial #295
One of the best Christmas memories I have is the altar of my childhood Church at Christmas. During the month of December, the alter had two tasteful poinsettias (one each side). But on Christmas Eve (for Christmas morning and the next 2 weeks), every square inch of the altar was “magically” covered from top to bottom with a plethora of brilliant poinsettias. It was a sight to behold! I am still moved when I recall the image and hear the choir booming “Gloria in Excelsis Deo”. To me, that's what Christmas looks and sounds like – a cacophony of color and sound rising up in celebration. This “Christmas Poinsettia Necklace” (part of my Christmas Poinsettia Collection), features seven cascading poinsettias forming a lovely “V” shape in the center. It is finished off with a gold chain on each side making it easy to wear and coordinate with your holiday wardrobe!
This simple beading pattern, which includes: a detailed Materials Page, Bead Legend/Color Key and, over 120 high-resolution full-color photos and easy to follow step-by-step directions, will teach beaders of all skill levels how to make this stunning necklace for the holidays. And, check out my coordinating earrings and bracelet (see below) for a glorious ensemble! Thank you for shopping Simple Bead Patterns, and as always, bead happy!

Materials & Quantities Needed
Your purchased beading tutorial will include a detailed materials list of everything you'll need to make this project, including quantities and, in most cases, color information (see more about Bead Color Information below).
Substituting with Different Beads or Beading Materials
Many of our designs can be made using comparable beading materials. For example, if our pattern calls for 4mm round pearls, in most cases, you can use different types of 4mm round beads instead (such as 4mm round fire polished beads). Please note: If the pattern is for a bead weaving (or stitched) project, it's typically not recommended to use different sizes of beads than those recommended, as the original design may not work out as intended. You may also substitute recommended materials with your preferred brand (for example using Nymo vs. FireLine thread) unless otherwise noted for a specific reason. For example, if we specifically recommend using TOHO seed beads with a particular project, the project may not work out as well if you substitute and use Delica seed beads instead (which differ in shape).
Bead Color Information
We provide detailed information about the bead colors used for each of the color samples shown above on the Bead Legend / Color Key (or similarly named page) in your purchased pattern. If the tutorial you purchased does not include detailed color information for a particular color sample we used, we apologize (a few of our earliest patterns did not include this information and we no longer have those beads to reference, or they were discontinued by the manufacturer). If this is the case, please feel free to contact us and we'll do our best to provide you with general color descriptions. Be sure to let us know which particular color sample you're most interested in.
