Thanks to a customer request, we created a micro macrame pattern for a fun and beautiful Shamballa bracelet that features an adjustable slide knot closure. These popular knotted unisex bracelets, worn by both men and women (as well as boys and girls), are often made with Shamballa beads (a.k.a. Disco ball beads) with the different colors of beads symbolically representing different mood or energy (Chakra) enhancers. We’re not sure yet how effective they are, but we can attest to how fun they are to make! DIY Shamballa bracelets can be made with numerous types of beads and cording, and they offer a wealth of room for creative exploration and personal expression.

Shamballa Micro Macrame Pattern

This fun and simple knotted bracelet pattern includes a recommended materials list, bead color information, over 50 high-resolution full-color photos, and easy-to-follow step-by-step directions.

Recommended Materials:

Below is an abbreviated materials list. The actual beading pattern includes a detailed Materials page that covers everything you’ll need to complete this beading project.

– 1 mm cord
– 8 mm beads
– 4 mm – 8 mm accent beads
– Macrame board, clipboard, bead tray, large kitchen plate, baking sheet, etc. to clip your cords onto while you work
– Binder clips – to clip your cords onto your work surface
– Tape – to secure your thread to your work surface
– Ruler or tape measure
– Flush cutters
– Thread burner or cigarette lighter, if you’re working with nylon cord or G-S Hypo Cement glue (or Super Glue), if working with an organic cord such as cotton, jute or bamboo
