Uptown Necklace Beading Pattern

This beautiful multi-strand beaded necklace design is big, bold, and beautiful. Inspired by a lovely, and no doubt very expensive, necklace previously offered by a popular high-end retail store, we made several design changes that resulted in a lighter, more comfortable weight and a superior clasp system that keeps all those beautiful, long strands and chains from becoming frustratingly tangled. The result is a rich, eye-stopping necklace that's substantial and glamorous - making you look fabulous at work or on the town.

Finished Dimensions:

The finished beaded necklace measures a full 37" long.

Recommended Materials:

- Up to 7 types of beads - we used beads ranging from size 11/0 seed beads up to size 6 mm beads
- Up to 7 types of chain - we used chain ranging from 2 mm up to 5 x 9 mm
- 4 lb beading thread
- Beading needle
- 4 mm open jump rings
- 30 mm end clasp with 5 connectors on each side
- Tape measure
- Flush cutters
- Flat nose or chain nose pliers
- Beader's glue or clear nail polish
